Being a Mighty Mustang at St. Mary School means showing respect, responsibility, and kindness in everything we do. A Mighty Mustang listens carefully, follows directions, keeps hands to ourselves, and treats everyone with care — whether in the classroom, hallways, bathroom, Parish Hall, church, or playground. By making good choices and showing self-control, we create a safe, welcoming, and positive environment where everyone can learn, grow, and succeed.

At St. Mary School, we show respect and responsibility by following directions wherever we go. In the hallway, we walk quietly and stay to the right. In the bathroom, we use good manners and keep it clean. In the Parish Hall and church, we use quiet voices and show reverence. In the classroom, we listen carefully and follow our teacher’s instructions. On the playground, we play safely, share, and include others. No matter where we are, we follow directions to show kindness, respect, and care for our school community.

Listen to your Teacher

At St. Mary School, we listen to our teachers in every place we go. In the hallway, we follow directions to walk quietly and safely. In the bathroom, we listen by using good manners and keeping the space clean. In the Parish Hall and church, we listen respectfully and show reverence during prayer and worship. In the classroom, we listen carefully so we can learn and do our best work. On the playground, we listen to teachers and staff to play safely and kindly with others. Listening shows respect and helps our school family work and learn together.

Keep your Hands to Yourself

At St. Mary School, we keep our hands to ourselves to show respect and care for others. In the hallway and bathroom, we move safely without touching others. In the Parish Hall and church, we respect personal space. In the classroom, we focus on our own work and respect personal space. On the playground, we play safely and kindly, keeping our hands to ourselves while including everyone. We show prayer hands when a funeral procession passes.

Be Kind to Everyone

At St. Mary School, we strive to be kind to everyone, everywhere we go. In the hallway and bathroom, we use polite words and help and be mindful of others. In the Parish Hall and church, we show respect and care for those around us. In the classroom, we encourage classmates and work together. On the playground, we include everyone and play fairly. In all areas it is important to treat others as you want to be treated.

Mustang Mentality: Character Development

At St. Mary School, we are committed to nurturing not only the minds of our students but also their souls. Our Mustang Mentality program guides students in developing strong character, good manners, and a spirit of service.

Each week, we focus on a new theme rooted in scripture, helping students understand the importance of values such as honesty, kindness, respect, and responsibility. Through discussions, classroom activities, and community service projects, students learn to apply these lessons in their daily lives.
